A group of curated images from my photo book "The Farmer's Side of the Story". The book was created to share the stories of hard working men and women whose lives revolve around agriculture. Growing up in the town and moving to the country, I have seen both sides of the spectrum. I have learned to love farming because of my husband and great people we have met along the way.
This is quite a personal project. I am not in the photos but I have shown the world how I view farm families. I have been so lucky to get to know and learn from these people who are so full of passion for what they do. The goal was to give people who have not had the opportunity to learn from farmers the way that I have. There is a large disconnect between consumer and producer, the hope for this project was to help bridge that gap. I wanted to show what makes farming so important & the stories of the people who choose this to be their way of life.
